Oasis, Live Forever 4/3 @ Taipei

英國的搖滾天團，綠洲（OASIS）合唱團，即將於下週五（4/3）在台北的南港展覽館舉辦在台灣的首度現場演唱會。

第一次聽OASIS還是在念研究所的時候，當時已經知道這個英國團很有名但卻從未接觸過。記得那張專輯是Heathen Chemistry，從Track#1, The Hindu Times，就讓我愛上它，其中SongBird更是我平日最愛隨意哼唱的小曲。

接著Don't Believe The Truth專輯發行，但早在這張專輯之前我就已經千方百計地下載到在英國電台當地搶先播放的單曲，其音質非常的糟糕，中間也夾雜著主持人的評論，但即使如此，仍完全無損Lyla這首歌的美妙，掛著耳機，我的耳朵彷彿可以過濾掉所有的雜音，直取音樂帶給我最直接的振動。直到今天，我都還不能忘記那一陣子瘋狂地重複這首歌曲的時光。

而現在它也被因Oasis要來台灣而high翻天的樂迷開心地暱稱為「來啦！」

據聞在日本，韓國，新加坡，香港之後，亞洲巡迴的最終站是在大陸，但由於一些因素而遭到對岸封殺，就轉而移到台灣來表演，以下是OASIS對這個事件的說法。

這是我第一次感謝對岸的專制。

我不是個Oasis的超級fans，我只是單純地喜歡他們的音樂，我甚至談不上一個樂迷，有很多歌我都沒聽過，我只約略知道主唱的名字，其他團員一概不知，但我相信，在當天我可以得到和大家同樣的感動。

OASIS ANNOUNCE FIRST-EVER GIG IN TAIWAN

Oasis are set to make their debut appearance in Taiwan after announcing today that they will play Taiwan World Trade Centre Nangang in Taipei City on Friday 3rd April.

The gig is part of their forthcoming Asian tour that which kicks off in Nagoya, Japan on 18th March and includes sold out dates in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong.

There is a Pre-Sale party at Hua Sheng Culture Park Middle One Hall A between 11am and 7pm this Saturday (March 14th). Tickets then go on General Sale on Sunday 15th March through ERA ticket outlets and www.ticket.com.tw

在美國有個有趣的報告，將受訪學生SAT分數與最愛的音樂作個統計，發現最愛貝多芬的學生平均分數最高。

而最愛 Oasis 的學生分數大概在中間，雖輸給 U2、Radiohead、Dylan、披頭等等，但是也樂勝 Bon Jovi、Foo Fighters、The Doors。

Oasis have fared badly in a poll collating the intelligence of music fans. US researcher Virgil Griffith's experiment compared students' SAT results with their favourite music, and the results showed that - on average - Oasis fans are thicker than those who like , The Killers, Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Billy Joel, Muse, U2 and Radiohead.

Top of the list was Beethoven (followed by Sufjan Stevens), while Lil Wayne fans were placed last.
